Show Funeral Services For Leslie Freeman Held on Tuesday Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary for Leslie Freeman, who died in a Provo hospital Saturday. The impressive services were directed by Manila Ward Bishopric, Bishop-ric, with Bishop Harvey Smith in charge. Invocation was offered by Kent Freeman, a grandson. Warren P. Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk, sang "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling." The first speaker was Lewis E. Olpin, who spoke of boyhood days and early memories of Mr. Freeman Free-man and his family, and then chose to talk on resurrection, how Christ laid down His body and took it up again, so might we also. Bishop Harvey Smith recalled childhood memories with the younger generation of the family, then of Leslie and Effie. In his kindly way, he expressed appreciation apprec-iation and sympathy for the family-Mr. Kirk, accompanied by Mrs. Kirk sang the closing number, "My Peace I Leave With Thee". John Dickerson, a grandson pronounced pro-nounced the benediction. Interment directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Morutary was made in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where William Freeman, a brother offered the dedicational prayer. Pallbearers were Wilford, Reed, Wm. O. Freeman, Burt Nielson, Thomas West, George Pierce. Manila ward Relief Society cared car-ed for and arranged the flowers. Leslie Freeman, 66, was born July 22, 1890, in Fort Harriman to John J. and Hetta Winters Freeman. Free-man. Survivors: widow, Mrs. Effie Freeman, Salt Lake City; sons and daughters, Earl, Mapleton; Vein, Aurora; Mrs. Cecil Dicker-son, Dicker-son, Provo; Mrs. Harold Taylor, Salt Lake City; six grand-children; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Chloe West, Wilford, Milton, Reed, Wil-iam, Wil-iam, and Mrs. Ruby Nielsen, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. Helen McDonald, Mc-Donald, Casper, Wyoming; Clarence, Clar-ence, Los Angeles. |
