Show Mothers Study Club Hears Book Review At Last Meeting Mrs. Manetta Gamett was hostess hos-tess to the members of the Mothers Moth-ers Study Club at a luncheon at her home last Thursday. Guest speaker was Mrs. Algie E. Ballif of Provo, who reviewed Anne Prank's 1956 Pulitzer prize play "Diary of a Young- Girl." The story has to do with the tragic World War II experiences of a young Jewish girl as told in her diary which was found by friends after the terrible Gestapo raids in Holland. According- to the author the play is a "classic of adolescence." Special guests at the affair were Mrs. Jane Armitstead, Mrs. Bert Bezzant, Mrs. Glen Bezzant and Mrs. Donna Ash. Members present included Mes-dames Mes-dames Eva Adams, Mae Jensen, Deane Paulson, Oral Wright, Emma Em-ma Overlade, Maybell Jense, Cleone Kirk, Ida West, Fern Smith, Kate Jacobs, Geneve Warnick, Lydia Hilton, Nora Macfarlane, riene Beck, Lela Banks and Miss Estelle Penton. Assisting- the hoostess were Mrs. Assisting the hostess were Mrs. zant. |
