Show Editorial . . . ONE UP ONE TO GO Someone has said "Young men don't know it can't be done. So, they go ahead and do it." Such was evidently the case in the construction of Pleasant Grove's newest civic improvement the fire station, kitchen, recreation room and sewer-water department shop. Civic pride certainly glowed on the faces of the hundreds who visited the new facility at the open house last Saturday. Much credit is . due everyone who made the new station possible. Another group of relative youngsters, .speaking chronologically, chrono-logically, are currently feeling growing pains. The local Auxiliary Aux-iliary Police Force say we need a community-owned ambulance ambul-ance and they are pioneering a movement to see that we get one. Fortunately they also "don't know it can't be done." Best of all in the campaign for the ambulance, every civic-minded person in the Pleasant Grove area will be inyited to get into the act. So more people will enjoy the "wonderful feeling," that always comes when the job is done. One Old Timer remarked the other day, "why buy an ambulance? The thing might set there for a month and never be used." The answer came quickly from a Young Timer, "We hope it does just that. But, when an, emergency strikes, it must be there waiting." |
