Show Grove Cubs Hold Blue and Gold Banquet Feb. 22 The Grove Ward Pack of Cub scouts, their parrots and guests met on the evening of Feb. 22 in the recreation hall of the Tim-panog-os Stake House to enjoy their annual Blue and Gold Banquet. Ban-quet. A delicious dinner was prepared pre-pared by Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bezzant and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Farnsworth and served by the Den Mothers, after which Boyd Anderson, institutional representative rep-resentative for cubbing, spoke to the group concerning the impor- . tance of the scout program. Stake Primary president Mabel Gardiner and Ward president La-Rue La-Rue Walker, commended the boys and leaders on their fine work. The tables were cleverly decorated decor-ated with mats and favors which were made by the Cubs with the help of Den Mothers, Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Anmitstead, Mrs. Vee Harper, Mrs. Ruth Black and Webelos Den Leaders, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Powell. ,' The guest table was decorated with a beautiful cake in the form of an American Flag made by Mrs. Vee Harper. Musical numbers were enjoy;d before graduation certificates were presented to Lynn Bullock, Rex Lemon, and Bryant Powell, who graduated from the Webelos Den and out of Cub scouting. |
