ROBERT RUFFELL (Colette Carter) Robert Ruffell, Colette Carter Are Married in Manti LDS Temple Rites Among the lovely brides of the early fall season is Colette Carter, Car-ter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. Carter of Orem who exchanged exchang-ed solemn wedding vows with Robert (Bob) Ruffell on Friday, Sept. 16 in the Manti LDS Temple. Tem-ple. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Ruffell of Lindon. Friends of the couple were in- vited to attend the reception in their honor the same evening at the Orem First and Second Ward Chapel. For the occasion the bride chose cho-se an original model of white lace over satin which was fashioned fash-ioned by her mother. The molded bodice featured a scalloped lace neckline beaded with miniature sequins with the waist pointing to a delicate V. The wrist length sleeves pointed to lily points at ;the fingertips. The floor length skirt was fashioned with alternate alter-nate layers of lace and tulle over a satin underskirt and her veil of bridal illusion was held with a orown of sequins. She carried a bouquet of white carnaations and yellow roses. For the occasion tihe bride's mother wore a blue net over taffeta taf-feta gown and the groom's mother moth-er wore a gown of pink silk. They each pinned on a corsage of white carnations. Bidden to attend the bride were Karma and Carolyn Carter, sisters sis-ters of the bride, Lila Lee Whet-ten, Whet-ten, Merri Lee Olsen and Karen Healy. A green and yellow color scheme was carried out in the gowns of the bridal attendants who wore alternate dresses of yellow and green 'brocade taffeta sheaths and wore corsages of yellow yel-low carnations. Serving as best man was a brother of the groom, George Ruffell. Ruf-fell. Greeting guest at the door was Mrs. Helois 'Wadley, Richard Ruffell Ruf-fell and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ford. At the guest book were Mr. and Mrs. Kay Boley. Guests were served at small tables covered with yellow and green brocade satin cloths decorated decor-ated with miniature floral arrangements ar-rangements of yellow roses with greenery.- Assisting with the serving were Linda Allen," Elaine Whetten, Anita An-ita Randall and Fern Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Roll Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Pyne, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Maynard and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Erickson were in charge of the kitchen. Gift bearers were u-iade Carter, Larry Gordon and Shirley and Elaine Ruffell. Assisting in the gift room were Mrs. Renold Butler, But-ler, Mrs. Frank Terry, Mrs. Lu-Ella Lu-Ella Rawlings, Mrs. Lloyd Randall, Ran-dall, Mrs. Beulah Pyne, Mrs. Lewis Lew-is Farley and Jane Ford. Following a honeymoon to an undisclosed destination the young couple are making their first home in Orem. |
