DRIGGS Farewell Services Next Sunday for Elder Frank Driggs Missionary farewell services will be held this Sunday, October 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the First-Fifth Ward Chapel for Elder Frank Swensen Driggs. Elder Driggs has accepted a call to labor hi the Southern Australian mission. He will enter the mission home Monday, Oct. 17 and will leave for Australia by air one week laer on Oct. 24. This is the week of General Conference, however there will be sacrament meetings in all wards. Elder Driggs graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and Seminary In 1956. He is a former studentbody president of the high school and played on the state championship football and basketball bask-etball teams for the 1955-56 school year. He was named to the All-State basketball team of 1956. Since high school Elder Driggs has graduated from Snow Junior College and the Snow Institute. He also played basketball at Snow and was named to the ICAC all-conference all-conference team in 1959. He attended BYU last year and is presently a senior majoring in accounting. Elder Driggs is also a Specialist 5th class in an army reserve unit in Provo. Farewell program will include talks by Director Floyd S. Holm of Snow College and John Fugal, principal of the Pleasant Grove Seminary. Also included will be an organ and piano duo by Mrs. Rowland Merrill and Mrs. Joseph Jeppson of Salt Lake City. All Fifth Ward members and friends and relatives of the family fam-ily are cordially Invited to attend at-tend the services. |
