Show A.C.E. Holds Meeting Last Monday Night Alpine Branch of American Childhood Edusation Association met at the Westmore School in Orem, Monday night, with a good representation from the district present. After the regular business, the group listened to an illustrated lecture by Dr. Richard D. Paul, who told of his tour.aroxind the world. It was very 'enlightening and entertaining to the educational education-al group present. Six delegates from Alpine District, Dist-rict, whose names have not been released, were chosen to represent their association at the national convention at Dos Angeles, April 21-26. The American Childhood Education Educa-tion Association's objective is working for education and well being of children; promote desirable desir-able conditions and practices in schools; raise the standards of professional pro-fessional growth of teachers and' leaders in this field ; and to include all groups concerned with children in school, in the homes and the community. To achieve these ends the A. C. E. must be guided by a dymnatic philosophy of education which is flexible and responsive to, human needs in a changing world. A state convention for all members mem-bers and) others interested will be held March 39, at 'the Mount Jordan Jor-dan Junior High School at 9400 South, 400 East, Sandy, Utah. This will be a forerunner of the international convention. Theme will be: "That All Utah Children May Learn". PTA officers and members are specially invited. |
