Show Funeral Services Held Monday for Ivan Elroy Nelson Impressive funeral rites were held Monday at the Olpin-Sund-berg Mortuary for Ivan Elroy Nelson, Nel-son, Pleasant Grove native who diel Tuesday March 12, at a Los Angeles hospital after a long illness. ill-ness. The service began a- 1 p.m. with T. Ardie Adams of the Grove Ward Bishopric conducting. Invocation was offered by Verl Zabriskie, and JoAnn Brady accompanied ac-companied by Anne McCausland sang, "I'll Walk With God." Speakers were Orscar Evans and EIRoy Davis, a counsin. Both spoke of happy days they had enjoyed with Mr. Nelson earlier ear-lier in life, before he moved from the state, and paid tribute to the Nelson and Loader families and both uttered words of faith and encouragement en-couragement and promises according accord-ing to the Gospel plan. They were interspersed1 by a vocal solo, by Warren Kirk, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Kirk. He sang "Going Home." Closing remarks of sympathy and appreciation were made by Mr. Adams, after which Clarence Cole cf Ogden, a counsin, pronounced benediction. Interment directed by Olpin-Sundberg Olpin-Sundberg Mortuary was made in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, where Forrest Loader, a cousin, offered the dledicatorial prayer. Pallbearers, all close relatives were Harry Loader, Harry Davis, Boyd Winn, Brace Olson, Daniel M. Smith, and Howard Nelson. Grove Ward Relief Society cared for and arranged the flowers. Bom March 1911, to Frank and Bertha Loader Nelson. Married Constance Babcock in 1925. Later separated. Member of Church cf Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors parents, Pleasant Grove; daughters: Sandra and Carla, both in the Air Force; brother, Delmar, Provo; sisters: Mrs. Daniel (Ber-nice) (Ber-nice) Smith, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ronald (Helen) Hall, Long Beach, California. |
