Show Local News On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Firchio and children Jimmy, Patsy Gayelyn and Joye Ann of Salt Lake City were guests at the J. C. Hilton home. Moyle and Gayle Walker Black-ham Black-ham of Moroni, this week became the proud parents of a baby girl. Mother and daughter are doing nicely at the Mount Pleasant hospital. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hilton, Mr. and Mrs. John Hilton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jos Hilton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Richins on Saturday were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Hilton of Salt Lake City, and helped celebrate Barney's birthday anniversary. anni-versary. Sgt. John Swenson, who has spent almost a year in the U. S. army, mostly in Korea, returned home this week. Sgt. Swenson was granted a furlough home, on account of the serious illness of his young son John Stephen, who is confined to the Utah Valley hospital with polio. Mrs. Swenson is the former Carol Stark. Mrs. Lloyd Gray and Miss Geraldine Ger-aldine Golden, have returned from a visit at Wanship, with Mrs. Grays daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. Fay Richins and family. While there the ladies visited vis-ited the Summit County Fair at Coalville. Officers of the Second Ward Y. W. M. I. A. Mrs. Afton Atkinson, Atkin-son, Mrs. Oral Wright and Miss Eloise Richards entertained officers offi-cers and teachers of the organization organiza-tion Thursday evening. The nice affair was held at the home of Mrs. Wright, and especially espec-ially complimented were Mrs. Ellen Ell-en Peterson & Miss Dorace Peay, former M. I. A workers, who have moved from the ward. Mrs. Peterson Pet-erson to Lindon and Miss Peay to Salt Lake City. The hours passed pleasantly with competitive games, mingled with other fun and laughter, ending end-ing with everyone singing and wishing the two honored guests much pleasure in their new places of abode. |
