Show Pleasant Grove Area Votes Democratic Ticket In Local Offices; Gives Ike More Votes ' Pleasant Grove voters went against the Republican trend in Utah County, state and nation by casting more votes for all Democratic Demo-cratic candidates with the exception except-ion of the presidency, district attorney at-torney and four-year county commissioner. com-missioner. While most other Utah county cities were giving Senator Wat-kins, Wat-kins, Representative Bosone and Governor Lee more votes than the Democrats, Pleasant Grove voters stuck with the Bourbons. They also gave majorities to the Democrats for secretary of state, attorney general .state auditor, state treasurer, treas-urer, two-year commissioner and state representative. On the nonpartisan ballot Justice Jus-tice Wade received 800 votes to 1050 for George W. Worthen, for the 10-year term. Justice Henri Henriod copped 972 to Judge Joseph Jos-eph Jeppson's 747. Pleasant Grove voters, however, . went along with most Utah communities com-munities by voting against repealing re-pealing the old age lien law. There were 884 against, and 727 for repeal. re-peal. The county as a whole went Republican with the exception of , one state representative in the south part of the county. Only on the vote for president did the local voters of the four districts go with county, state and national trends to give General Eisenhower a heavy margin. The two other republican winners were fairly Close. Pleasant Grove voters stood by Rep. Reva Beck Bosone when-most of north Utah county was near ' even or gave Dawson a whooping majority as in American Fork.
