Show Census Shows Enrollment In Pleasant Grove Schools To Be 1442 As Of November 1st crease of 3292 students. The kindergarten group outnumber out-number all other grades by a considerable con-siderable number this year, reflecting re-flecting in part the population increase in-crease this area has experienced in recent years. Kindergarten students in the 12 schools which include them number num-ber 961 this year, compared with 722 first grade students and 750 second grade students. Compilations of Alpine District school cenusu show an increase of almost 60 per cent since 1940, according to a report from Supt. David R. Mitchell. District enrollment enroll-ment this year is 8591 compared to 5300 for 12 years ago, an in- als by grades are: third, 795; fourth, four-th, 800; fifth, 678; and sixth 646, for a grand total of 5352 kindergarten kinder-garten and elementary school children. Secondary school students total 3240, as follows: seventh grades 611; eighth 566; ninth 579, tenth 435.
