Show Carol Jaynes Was Hostess To Cadmus Club February 23 Carol Jaynes was hostess to members of the Cadmus Club on Monday, Feb. 23. Guests present were Mrs. S. W. Hilton, Mrs. Leo Harvey, Mrs. Erwin Jensen, Mrs. Clarence Gamett, Mrs. Junius West, Miss Estelle Fenton, and Mrs. Wawki. President Rose Hillman presided presid-ed at the meeting. She read a letter let-ter from the General Federation of Women's clubs, asking for contributions con-tributions for the German Young Assistance Project. Sewing materials mater-ials were asked for. Club members voted to assist in this worthy project. pro-ject. Program for the evening was a book review, "The Man Called Peter," by Katherine Marshall, given by Mrs. Ella Jackson. This is a true life story of Peter Marshall, Mar-shall, Caplain of the U.S. Senate from 1947 to 1949,. a man devoted to the service of God and his fellow fell-ow men. A piano solo was played by Vic-ki Vic-ki Jaynes. Light refreshments were served by the hostess assisted by her daughter Vicki. Next meeting will be held Monday, Mon-day, March 9, at the home of Effie Adams. This will be election night for new officers for the coming year. All members are requested to be present. |
