Show Americanism Program To Be Given At American Legion Dinner In Third Ward Tonight Friday, Feb. 27, (tonight) The American Legion Post 70 and Auxiliary will hold their Americanism Ameri-canism program and dinner, at the Third ward recreation hall at 7 o'clock p.m. Mrs. Karl Banks unit Americanism chairman will be in charge. Winners of the Americanism essay contest and oratorical contest con-test to be heard are Jeannine Johnson first place and Sally Sal-ing Sal-ing second place and Miss Rosalie Richards, oratorical and Mrs. Glen Matthews president of the Aux-ilary. Aux-ilary. The young ladies who received rece-ived the awards are to be highly congratulated. Miss Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Johnson; Miss Saling is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Saling, and Miss Richards the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Richards. Presentation of awards will be made by Mrs. Robert Holdaway, secretary. A patriotic color scheme will prevail in the hall and table decorations. de-corations.
