Show (So f ED eft Son oirectoirs The management of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Chamber of Commerce for the year 1953 will be in charge of the six new directors elected at the annual meeting held Wednesday Wed-nesday evening, in addition to the three hold-over directors. Those elected el-ected Wednesday evening were: Kay Jacobs, George Paul, Robert Holdaway, two year directors; Vern Goode, Max Harper, Ed Roberts, Rob-erts, one year directors. Hold-over directors, Ford Paulson, Cliff aHles, Neil Y. Fugal. Niels Fugal, veteran city councilman, coun-cilman, was awarded a life-time membership in the Chamber of Commerce for his many years of service to the community. Mr. Fugal Fu-gal has served as city councilman for 22 years, in addition to serving many years as a director of the Pleasant .Grove Irrigation Company, Com-pany, member of the Pleasant Grove Lions club, church worker and many other community activities. ac-tivities. Kay Jacobs, president of the Chamber of Commerce made the presentation to Mr. Fugal, in behalf be-half of the board of directors and members of the organization. A report of the activities of the Chamber of Commerce for the past year were also reported. The annual meeting was held at the Grove Theatre, where the members were entertained with a free picture show. The retiring directors were Kay Jacobs, Lealand Clark, Lee Swen-son, Swen-son, Max Harper, Robert Holdaway, Holda-way, Don L. Smith. Since the first of 1953 the Chamber of Commerce has received receiv-ed its portion of the liquidation of the Strawberry Days Rodeo Association As-sociation stock which amounted o $480.00. This amount has already been pledged to the Pleasant Grove Activities Committee to be applied toward lighting at the Recreational Area. |
