Show Mr. and Mrs. Basil Walker Returns From Visit To Mission Field and visited with the son of the Jones in the mission field there, went on to Carsbad Caverns, & attended the Spanish Fiesta. The trip to West Virginia took them through Little Rock, Arkansas, Ark-ansas, Memphis, and Nashville. Tennessee. Completing the very happy vacation the party returned by way of South Dakota, where they spent one day at Warm Springs, and one at Grand Rapids visiting friends and converts of Mr. Jones, Jon-es, who served his mission there. Mr. and Mrs. Walker are overjoyed over-joyed with their experiences on the trip .and report great joy at seeing their (laugher, who is enjoying en-joying her missionary work very much and send greetings to her many friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Basil Walker, Mrs. Leora Walker Knight, and Glen Jones returned Monday from an extended trip over the country to West Virginia, where at Charleston, they isited their daughter and sister Elma Walker who is doing missionary work there. I With the missionaries the Ut-ahns Ut-ahns had the priviledge of attending atten-ding two L. D. S. Stake Conferences, Confer-ences, one at Charleston and one at Huntington, West Virginia, where Oscar A. Kirkham represented repre-sented the general authorities of the church, and they also met Mission President Matheson and Mrs. Matheson, and were present at the very impressive testimony meeting of the L. D. S. Elders and lady missionaries. On Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Walker and their partv were guests of President and Mrs. Matheson at Louisville, Ky., and visited the mission home there, and called on Miss LaVona Wiseman, Wise-man, a former companion of Elma's and also Elder Webb of Lehi, a close fiend of Glen Jones. On leaving here the party was joined by Mr. Jones' parents of Lehi, drove by way of Sante Fe |
