Show Howard R. Driggs Writes Book About PI. Grove Timpanogos Town, a story of Old Battle Creek and Pleasant Grove portrays the development of a fine American city in Utah. It is a tale that reaches indeed from prehistoric days down to the living present. Among its intriguing chapters are Timpanogos Trail Story of Battle Creek Grove Fort A Stringtown Chief Walker Speaks Indian Tales. These with others of stirring interest reveal the rise of a community from pioneer days to "Strawberry Days." Further the story is linked with the states and the nation even with other nations; nat-ions; for people from many other states and countries had vital parts in the drama. Its author a native son of Pleasant Grove gathered the materials for the book while the pioneers could tell them vibrantly, truthfully. He has with loving touch woven rich authoritative materials ma-terials into the story to keep alive precious memories of his old home town. The book is enhanced in beauty with sketches by a skilled artist along with a frontpiece "Battle Creek Falls" in color. , In addition to the story and sketches there will be approximately approxim-ately one hundred pages of photographs photo-graphs of old landmarks and leading lead-ing citizens and characters of both old and later days. Sometime in October the book will be off the press for presentation present-ation for sale to the public.
