Show Adams-Warnick Nomination Assures Pleasant Grove L Of A County Commissioner The two-year county commiss-ionship commiss-ionship neck and neck race between be-tween Burton H. Adams of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove and Ray E. Loveless of Orem for the Democratic nomination nomin-ation highlighted the primary election el-ection in Utah County. Unofficial returns showed Mr. Adams leading by a count of 2017 to 1991. In the two-year commissioner race on the Republican ticket, Mer. rill N. Warnick assured Pleasant Grove of a county commissioner by leading the entire Republican ticket. tick-et. He defeated E. H. Long of Orem with 4596 votes. Long received re-ceived 2229. Thus, Pleasant Grove is sure of a place on the county commission commiss-ion this coming year with Burton H. Adams opposing Merrill N. Warnick on the ballot in November. Novem-ber. I. E. Brockbank, Provo and Joseph Jo-seph E. Nelson, Spanish Fork led their rivals for the Fourth district judgeship nominations on the Republican Re-publican party by a large margin in Utah county and indications were that the returns of Duchesne Uintah and Wasatch counties would be insufficient to change the results. Brockbank led the group with 4154 votes followed by Judge Nelson Nel-son with 4104; Rulon J. Larsen Duchesne, with 2378 and Don Mack Dalton, Pleasant Grove with 2025. The three candidates, Merrill N. Warnick, Don Mack Dalton and Burton H. Adams appreciate very much the interest taken by the local voters and the fine vote given them in hteir local communities, and desire to think all their friends for the support given them. |
