Show OLD FOLKS' PARTY AT WINDSOR WAS A VERY SUCCESSFUL AFFAIR Wednesday, February 14, proved a gala day in Windsor ward, and to the old folks the days events were a great success. Following the banquet ban-quet at noon, the following program was carried out with Murvel Walker as master of ceremonies. Prayer, Patriarch. D. B. Thome; address of welcome, Stanley B. Harris; .Response,' Gilbert W. Richardson; Rich-ardson; vocal duet, Mrs. Polly Harris and Emily Aston; Toast to Old Folks, J. W. Glllman; reading, John Thacker; vocal duet, Nadine and Wilma Hales, accompanied by their mother Mrs. Norma Hales; a stunt from Lindon Ward; Lincoln high school furnished readings by Ruth Patten and Dona Christensen; vocal solo by Robert Douns accom- panied by his mother Mrs. Clarenec Douns; a cornet solo by Ralph Wil-let Wil-let and a cornet trio by Thomas I Patten, Merlin Isaac and Ralph Willet. Benediction was pronounced by A. H .Lowe. Covers were laid for and the program pro-gram enjoyed by 220 ward members mem-bers and friends. ' The last phase o'f the days celebration cele-bration was the free show "June Mad" presented at 8 o'clock p. m. to a well filled house. Tine committee wishes to extend thanks and appreciation to all who assisted in anv wav to make the day o success. |
