Show Cadmus Club Tea Honors Many Prominent Women The members of Cadmus Club, and their guests honored the outstanding out-standing women of Pleasant Grove at a Tea Saturday, September 6, at the home of Lois West. , The women of our community honored at the tea were Mrs. Jos- ephne West, representative pioneer mother; Mrs. Alvira Olpin as outstanding out-standing mother; Mrs. Amy Brown Lyman and Mrs. Mae Grua were chosen for their social service to community and nation. Mrt. Lucille Lu-cille H. Walker was honored for community service; Mrs. Augusta W. Grant .as a pioneer teacher; Mrs. Eva F. Driggs, musician, Mrs. Rose B. Hayes a devoted worker for the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Pion-eers, and Miss Hermese Peterson, Miss Effie Warnick, Miss Estelle Fenton, Miss Emma Bush, Mrs. Mary G. Maxfiild and Mr. Ellen L. Brown were honored for their outstandirig contributWn edjt cation. ' ' ' - '" During the afternoon delightful .music was given by a string trio, 'arranged by Mrs. Martha Jones of Spanish Fork. The members of the trio were Blanche Nieteon, Kathryn Rees and Martha Jones. Vocal solos were sung by Bea Stokjes, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Gwen Adams. Betty Jo and Margie Page presented piano pi-ano selections. A violin ensemble t arranged by Irwin Jensen played several numbers. Members of this ensemble were Barbara Jensen, Patricia Anderson, Beverly Wright Jerry Bradley, Ann Nielsdn, Ger-aldine Ger-aldine Thorne and Patricia Hill-man. Hill-man. Lynell Johnson sang a soprano sop-rano solo. Barbara Jensen, accompanied accom-panied by Beverly Wright played I a. violin solo and Geraldine Thorne played a piano solo. Many women rom Pleasant Grove and surrounding communities commun-ities came during the afternoon to honor and renew acquaintances with the outstanding women chosen cho-sen as special guests. |
