Six were distinguished in their victory achievement projects, and won $213 bonds. They were Carman Luke of Orangeville, Emery county; Dorothy Sanford of Delta, Millard county; Vaudis Eairbourn of Sandy, Salt Lake county; Dwain LeEevre of Spry, Garfield county; Bill Christof-fersen Christof-fersen of Hyrum, Cache county, and R. Thain Robson of Ogden, Weber county. j Utah Youths Win Honds For l-II Work Approximately $700 in war bonds were awarded during the last year to members of 4-11 clubs in the state of Utah, who excelled In their various projects, reports Miss Fern Shipley, assistant assist-ant state 4-1 1 leader. The bonds were presented as regular awards to the members. Miss Shipley stresses the timeliness time-liness of bond presentations, and states that this award practice will probably gain momentum in 1944, particularly with the increasing in-creasing Importance of 4-II club activities in war work. Such awards will also be made in conjunction con-junction with war loan drives, Including the current fourth war loan drive. One state award was made to Jeanne Myers of American Fork, Utah County, who won a trip to the National 4-H Club Congress In Chicago last November. Miss Myers also received a $100 war bond as a state prize. Her winning win-ning project was in farm and home safety demonstrations. In dairy food demonstrations, six 4-II members were presented war bonds. Josephine Dalnes of Logan, Cache county, and Irene Warnick of Pleasant Grove, Utah county, won $50 bonds in individual individ-ual demonstrations. In team work, Fae Ann Huggins and Ely- |
