Show Seventies Party Is Successful Affair More than eighty guests report ihe 144th Quorum of 70's harvest party a grand success. The affair was held Tuesday .evening in Amreican Fork canyon, with S. W. Hilton, general chairman, chair-man, in charge of invitations and Juncheon, and F. B. Newman master mas-ter of ceremonies. The guests brought their own luncheon, with the desert, canta-lope canta-lope and ice cream, furnsihed by the quorum. After lunch the large bonfire and the following program was enjoyed: comumnity singing, directed direc-ted by E. A. Beck; harmonica selections sel-ections by Irwin Jensen and E. A. Beck; a review of Adams Diary was given by Ford M. Poulson. Humorous songs were sung by Karl Banks, and readings were given giv-en by Lyean Johnson and George Paul. Mrs. Victor Stokes rendered several vocal numbers among them being "Trees" and "Indian Love Call." President W. W. Warnick made a short talk in which he told his first bear story. I Concluding remarks were made by Vilace Radmall, President of the quaroum. Mr. Radmall expressed himself as overjoyed with the success suc-cess of the outing and assured those present that the winter program pro-gram would be caried out the minstrel show and the 70's winter party. The affair was one of the best atttended of the year, with all members of the Stake Presidency, Tres, and Mrs. W. W. Warnick, President and Mrs. M. S. Christiansen Christ-iansen and President Wm. C. Smith present. |
