Show Funeral Held On Monday For Jack Peterson Very impressive funeral services were conducted .Monday, August 31, in the Timpanogos Stake Teber-naele Teber-naele fork John S. (Jack) Peterson who died Thursday in a Salt Luke hospital.. Hie services under the direction of the First Ward Bishopric began at 2 o'clock with Bishop Junius A. West in charge. E. A. Deck and Mrs. Edna A. Robison sang the opening number "Cast Thy Dread Upon The Waters." They were accompanied by Mrs. Lillian Young. Invocation was asked by Duane Harper. The first speaker was Orville L. Larson of Layton, a counsin who told of many touching incidents and happy hours spent with Jack on the old Larson homestead, in days gone by. He also spoke words of faith and encouragement to the family. H. V. Jacobs, a former employer, paid a fine tribute to Jack, as to his honesty and integrity, and his devotion to his family" and his employer. Bishop West was the concluding speaker, he also spoke feelingly of Jack's honesty, his neighborli-ness neighborli-ness and generosity to those with whom he came in contact. Other musical numbers were: a vocal solo, "I'm Sure I Shall Not Pass Again" by Mrs. L. W. Jones of Provo, accompanied by Mrs. Lilian Lil-ian Vounfir: a string trio. "One Tleteing Hour" by Miss Winona Monson, Miss Romona Monson and Miss Carol Clark, and the closing number, a vocal solo, "Absent" was rendered bv George Olson, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Young. The benediction was pronounced bv Louis D. Olpin. Burial, directed by Olpin Bros. Mortuary, took place ni the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Cemetery, where Justice Martin M. Larson offered the dedicatory de-dicatory prayer. Pall bearers, all cousins of Jaclc, included Russell Green, Nile Green, ieorire Peterson, Jesse Peterson, Ravmond Peterson, and Dale Peterson. |
