Show I II GIRLS WIN-MANY WIN-MANY AWARDS Culminating the Utah County observance of national 4-H club achievement week, Miss Rhea Hurst, county home demonstration agent, Saturday had presented gold and silver medals and other awards to several girls for outstanding 4-H achivements. Lyle Beth Atwood of Manila received a $25 war bond for her victory garden, and Jean Myers of Highland received a similar award for her contribution to the victory program. Gold medals went to the follow-lowing: follow-lowing: Marilyn and Irene. Warnick, War-nick, for their demonstration on the "Victory Lunch Box," Ann Trotter for hosiery darning; Jeanne Jean-ne Sundcll for hosiery darning; Melba Liechety, Kerr canning achievement. ach-ievement. Miss Swenon, state winner of the record contest and Melba Leic-htyy, Leic-htyy, state canning winner, will leave later this month for Chicago, to attend the national 411 congress. They won expense-paid trips thru their achievements. |
