Show FUNERAL FOR JEREMY LEAVITT HELD AT PROVO Funeral services were held Sunday Sun-day at 1.30 p. m. in the Provo 9th ward chapel for Jeremy Leavittt, a former resident of this city. The services in charge of Bishop Ariel Baliff , opened with the ward choir, singing "Tho Deepening Trials." Invocation was offeered by Arthur Hughes of Nevada. A vocal duet, "In The Garden" was sung by Mr. and Mrs. Wiseman. Wise-man. Speakers were: Elder Richardson Richard-son of Provo, Gatlief Beulher of Pleasant Grove, and Bishop Sow-ards Sow-ards of the Manavua ward, with closing remarks by Bishop Baliff. Other musical numbers included a vocal solo, "Going Home" by Elmo Coffman; vocal solo "No Night There" and the closing number, num-ber, "Oh My Father"- rendered by the choir. Benediction was pronounced pro-nounced by Elder Pendleton. Interment was made in the Pleasnt Grove Cemetery, where Bishop J. A. West of the Pleasant Grove Second Ward offered the dedicatory prayer. Mr. Leavitt died Thursday at his home in Provo following a heart attack. He was horn April 13, 1880, at Bunkerville, Nevada, a son of Dudley Dud-ley and Maria Huntsmam Leavitt. On February 12, 1902', he married Martha Hughes In tnp St. Georce Temple. After the death of his first wife, he came to Pleasant Grove, to make his home, and on July 2, 1934 he married Leona White of this citv, in the Salt Lake Tcmole, and in 1930, thev moved to Provo where they have since made their home. Mr. Leavitt has been active in 'hurcb affairs and at the time of his dfiith was a member of the hi"-h priests quorum in the 01 h ward, and was secretary of that 'ii'ganiation.
