Show Alpine News Mrs. Warren V. Clark, Reporter A wedding reception was given by . Mr. and Mrs. Alma Hamnett, March 20, at the Alpine gymnasium, in honor of their daughter, Marjorie, and Chester Alldredge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rue Alldredge of Crescent, who were married in the Salt Lake temple, March 19. The ceremony was performed by President Stephen Steph-en L. Chipman, in the presence of the bride's parents and grandpar- bers. These numbers were interspersed inter-spersed with the dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Alldredge will make their home in Crescent. ents, Mr: and Mrs. James C. Healey. Five hundred guests were in attendance at-tendance at the reception. The hall was beautifully decorated with gold and white crepe paper and potted plants and ferns A lovely gown of peach taffeta was worn by the bride, with a corsage cor-sage of lavendar sweet peas and tea roses. Attending her as maid of honor was Miss Beth Green. Mrs. Phillip Alldredge was matron of honor. Miss Elva Bateman, Miss Fern Clark and Miss Mae Clark were bridesmaids. Mr. Fred Alldredge, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Miss Green was gowned in pink chiffon, and Mrs. Alldredge in blue net over blue satin. Miss Bateman wore a gown of blue taffeta, Miss Fern Clark, rose taffeta; and Miss Mae Clark appeared in pale blue taffeta. Each wore a corsage of sweet peas corresponding to the colors of their dresses. The parents were also in the receiving re-ceiving line. The serving and gift displays were in charge of Mrs. Buena Beck, Mrs. Naomi Healey, Mrs. Verland Beck, Mrs. Grace Bateman, Bate-man, Mrs. Louise Austin, Mrs. Marie Beck and Mrs. Alta Devey. Mrs. Leland Beck, an uncle of the bride, acted as master of ceremonies, a program was furnished by Thayne I and Dean Bateman and Roland Strong, a vocal trio; Joyce Hamnett and Rea Fae Beck, tap dance num- 1 Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shubert are the parents of a fine baby boy, born March 26 at the American Fork hospital. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Peterson and son of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Strong and daughter of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark and Dan, Bessie and Beverly Clark were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Strong. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Kiddle and children, Misses Lucille and Alton Muir of Salt Lake City, spent Sunday Sun-day at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Muir. The Bee Hive Girls are holding a Spring Carnival Wednesday night, April 3, at 8 o'clock in the ward recreation hall. The Builders rank are using "The Spirit of Bee Hive Work" as their play theme and will sell paper flowers and popcorn in their booth. The Gatherers are dramatizing parts of "The Songs of Hiawatha" and will represent an Indian Trading Post, where some very useful household articles ranging rang-ing from lc to 25c and three nice crib quilts will be sold. The Guardians Guard-ians assure a very good laugh with "Barnacle Bill" and "The Old Maids" and will sell pie and chili. There will be no admission charge and everybody is welcome. |
