Show City's $30,000 Project For Streets and Sidewalks Approved At Washington I Mayor V. N. West received a telegram tele-gram from Senator Thomas of Washington last week informing him that the Pleasant Grove City $30,000 W. P. A. project for streets and sidewalks has been approved. This city-wide project calls for the paving of ten more blocks of sidewalks, side-walks, the rocking and cementing of six and one-half more miles of irrigation ir-rigation ditches, and improving of culverts and water lines, and the oiling oil-ing or making one and one-half miles of asphalt road. The ditches to be rocked are the remainder of the e by the cemetery, ceme-tery, the road running east and west of the home of Albert Page, and another an-other running east on Second South from the north corner of the Duane Harper lot to Locust avenue. It is planned to hard-surface the roads east from the bank corner to Fred Shoell's corner, thence north to Fifth North, and east on the de-I de-I pot street to the turn on to Locust avenue. A new water line will be installed from the property of D. W. West south to the home of Lorin Walker on the lower highway. The line south of the Sam Green property to the Wasatch Inn will be enlarged. |
