Show Interesting Quarterly j Stake Conference Held A most splendid Timpanogos stake quarterly conference came to a close Sunday evening with, a program pro-gram by the stake Mutuals. Brother' John Wells of the presiding Bishop-ric, Bishop-ric, who has served for forty years in the Tithing office, represented the general authorities. President Wilford W. Warnick presided and had charge of the stake meetings. President Cragun was the first speaker and thi message he gave was that prosperity often tents to lead us away from the Lord. Various ward counselors spoke briefly. Albert Al-bert Olsen, C. O. Jensen, Merrill Warnick, Elwood Baxter and Rob-, Rob-, ert Walker were among them, i Bishop Wells complimented girl singers and said the purpose of conference con-ference was for spiritual Improvement Improve-ment and that a testimony of the ! truth of the Masters work was available to every earnest seeker, j Keep the Word of Wisdom and "taste not and touch not unclean here at home, so that there Is no time to be lonely or our lives hum drum and uninteresting. He expressed the thought that the people were meeting conditions con-ditions better now than a year ago. Mrs. Stephen L. Chipman spoke of the fine work of our young people peo-ple who are in the East. Mrs. Eva Frampton Driggs spoke about living up to the wonderful possibilities of work and usefulness afforded the women of our faith |
