Show VI County Democratic Primaries Date Announced August 15th was the dead line set for Democratic Primaries to be called call-ed in Utah county. This date was fixed at a meeting of the county central committee held Wednesday night in the city and county building, build-ing, Provo. At these Primaries to be held in all precincts of the county, delegates will be selected for the state and congressional conventions to be held September 1st at the Paramount Theatre, Provo, to be attended by 799 delegates, 83 from Utah county, second largest delegation of the state. Mrs. W. H. Callahan, associate county chairman, and Wallace Brockbank, vicechairman issued the call for the meeting in the absence of Dr. H. M. Woodward, chairman. The principal speaker of the evening eve-ning was Congressman J. Will Robinson, Rob-inson, recently returned from Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. It was decided that two Democratic Democra-tic outings will -be held during the next month, one at each end of the county, at a resort. C. A. Grant, was made chairman of the north end outing and Thomas Reese of Payson was named chairman of the south end outing. |
