Show Schools Finish Successful Year Schools of the Alpine District were dismissed for summer vacation Thursday and the students released from school room routine until September. Sep-tember. The term just completed included thirty-six weeks of school. Superintendent David Gourley in commenting upon the term just closed said that in his experience as superintendent of the District there has never been more efficiency efficien-cy on the part of the teachers and good work on the part of the students stud-ents than during the pa3t school year. The results of the tests given the students indicate the district to be well above the average of national nation-al forms in scholastic standing. Of the 133 contracts issued to the principals, supervisors and teachers of the district, for the 1934-35 term, all have been returned signed, with the exception of two.
