Show ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Ashby announce an-nounce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Mary Ashby, to E. Wesley Porter of Brooklyn, N. Y., son of Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Porter of Provo. Miss Ashby is a graduate grad-uate of the Brigham Young University Univer-sity and a member of the Theta Alpha Phi and Fidelas social units. For the past year she has been a member of the Junior High school faculty of American Fork. Mr. Porter is also a graduate of the Brigham Young University and since graduating has attended the University of New York. The marriage mar-riage will take place in June, and they will make their home in New York, where Mr. Porter is employed. The news of the approaching marriage mar-riage was cleverly presented to the lady faculty members of the high school and the wives of the male teachers at an announcement party given by Mrs. Ashby Wednesday night. The secret was literally let out of the bag when a black cat stepped forth from a bag bearing the news on a card attached to its neck. Progressive games were played at five tables and a delicious lunch was served.
