Show Holden Girl Chosen State Champion In Meat Story Contest Chicago, 111., May 14 Selection o Miss Afton Stevens, of Holden, Utah, high school girl as champion of the state of Utah in the sixth national meat story contest in -which high school girls of every state took part, has just been announced hy a committee com-mittee of prominent home economics women who served as judges. The Judging committee was composed com-posed of lUiss Margaret Fedde, chairman, chair-man, home economics department University of Nebraska; Miss Josephine Jose-phine Wylie, associate editor, Better Homes and Gardens; Professor Mabel V. Campbell, chairman, home economics, eco-nomics, University of Missouri; and Miss Florence La Ganke, home economics eco-nomics editor, Cleaveland Plain Dealer. Deal-er. Miss Stevens' story was on the subject sub-ject of "Why We Cook. Meat." Other subjects ranged from meat production to cooking methods.
