Mother and babe are getting along fine. !y surprised Mrs. Lawrence Briggs at her home Monday afternoon, the occasion oc-casion heing her birthday anniversary. Mrs. Briggs was presented with a lovely gift and a large birthday cake. Music, social chat and sewing were the social diversions, followed by a delicious luncheon. Xims, manager of the Utah Power & Light Co. of the Provo District, Dis-trict, was a business visiter in American Ameri-can Fork Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown and family of Coppcrton, were visitors at the homo of Mrs. Lillian K. Brown Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Parker of Salt Lake City, visited Memorial Day with Mr. Parker's father, Lafe Parker. Mr. and Mrs. M. Norton are the happy parents of a fine baby hoy born last week. All concerned are doing nicely. Ralph Gillispie, who is employed in Marysvale, visited several days this week with his grandmother, Mr3. Margaret Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Stokes and Mrs. Stokes of Bingham Canyon, visited visit-ed with Mr. and Mrs. John E. Berg and family on Decoration Day. Guests on Decoration Day at the home of Mrs. Margaret Robinson were: Dr. and Mrs. H. E. Robinson of Ogden, Mrs. Steve Zimmerman and family of Eureka, Mrs. Pauline Nelson Nel-son an'd Mrs. Nell Pulley of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. William Thornton attended at-tended the commencement exercises of the L. D. S. college held Friday evening in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Their son, William H., is a member of the graduating class, which comprises a total of 550. Announcement is made of the arrival ar-rival of a fine baby boy at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Calie Hales, May 17, and also of a boy born May 25 at the i home of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Hales. All concerned are doing very nicely. Decoration Day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bush were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Myers of Bingham! Canyon, Mrs. Roy Wilcox and son, Carl, and Mr. an'd Mrs. C. G. Wright and family of Halt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leavitt, who have been residing in Salt Lake City where M'r. Leavitt has been employed employ-ed with the Mt. States Tel. and Tel. Co., will make their home in American Ameri-can Fork during the next week, Mr. Leavitt having been transferred to Provo by the Telephone Co. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Brown entertained en-tertained at dinner S'unday for Mrs. Eddie Ro!de, Mrs. T. Peterson and A F. Kikstad of Salt Lake City. Late in he afternoon the party motored to Saratoga resort, where they enjoyed the features of the Utah Sportsmens' outing. Visitors on Memorial Day at the home of Mrs. Emma Foster were: Mr. and Mrs. Morris Young, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. joy, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Crosby, Mrs. iJames White of Salt Lake City, Miss Berniece Winn of Lehi, and her son, Kenneth, who is employed in Bingham Canyon. Guests during the week at the home of Mrs. Ann Cheever were: Carl Wright, Frances Wright, Emma Wright of Rexburg, Idaho, Miss Venla Cooper of Iona, Idaho, and M'iss Ina Taylor of Mounds, Utah. The following fol-lowing spent Memorial Day at the Cheever home: Mr. an'd Mrs. Fred Cheever and daughters of Bingham Canyon, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Nichol-sen, Nichol-sen, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cheever and family of Midvale and M'r. and Mrs. Newell McMillian and children of Murray. Ralph Wright, Miss Afton Middleton and Mrs. Ethel Rogers and baby of Salt Lake City, were callers during the day at the home of Mrs. Cheever. .
