A. B. Allen, agricultural instructor, awarded Lewis Day for agricultural activities. The efficiency medal, awarded annually ann-ually by the Lions Club to the most efficient student in the school, was presented to Ray Marsh, editor of the school paper this year, by President Presi-dent G. Wed.: Ray Marsh Awarded Lions Efficiency Medal According to custom, the final assembly of the American Fork high school was spent in awarding medals of honor to the students of this year who have been foremost in school athletics and activity. This affair was held Wednesday morning at 10 a. m. To get the students in proper harmony har-mony with the occasion, the school song was first sung, after which Eli Clayson, president of the student body, offered the Invocation. The next number was a violin solo by Ferrin Sager. K. J. Bird, head of the Music Department, De-partment, awarded opera medals to Miss Loraine Boley, Miss Erma Logs-don, Logs-don, Miss Clarice Bromley and Helen Moffett. Miss Moffett has been accompanist ac-companist for all musical features. Miss Donna Durrant, Dramatic Art instructor, awarded medals to Luzell Chipman, Loraine Boley and Orpha Robinson for being the outstanding characters in the school play. Ferrin Sager, business manager, James Preston, stage manager, Vere Cox and John Dean, electricians, were also al-so given awards for their efforts In making the school play a success. Athletic coach, E. H. Berrett, awarded the block "A" to Eldred Nicholes, James Preston, Fay Chadwick, Chad-wick, Thomas Adamson, John Abel, Eugene Bunton, Jay Beck, 'John Dean Ferrin Sager, Lavon Earl and Sidney Skinner for football; Eldred Nicholes, James Preston, Fay Chadwick, Jay Beck, Eugene Bunton, Ferrin Sager, Principal Walker awarde'd the following fol-lowing students for the offices named: nam-ed: Eli Clayson, president of the student body; Ray Marsh and Lucile McAllister, editor and associate editor edi-tor of the school paper; 'three graduation gradu-ation medals for scholarship and leadership to Bernice Ban-alt, Alma Einns and Luzell Chipman. E. Ray Gardner presented a medal to Miss Sarah Chipman for her oratorical ora-torical honors and Dr. Richards in behalf of the Lions Club presented Miss Chipman with a medal for oratory. ora-tory. The time following the awarding was given over to the senior class, who gave the following program: Virginia Eggertsen read a letter to the school from Adolph Heinze, the artist who painted the picture "Mt. Wilbur," which was presented to the school by the Ladies Literary association; associ-ation; piano solo, Ray Marsh; vocal solo, Loraine Boley; saxaphone solo.
