Show David Davis who is conined in the U. S. Veteran's Hospital in Salt Lake is reported slightly improved. Bert Durrant and William Preston are spending a few days at their home here- They ar 'both working on milling interests at Fish Springs. The laides auxiliary of the Fire department entertained the out-of-town visitors who were here to give the First Aid demonstration last Saturday night. Cros.-pJ," - - " Hall, where a. delicious lunch was served. The Viking Social Unit of the B. Y. U. entertained at a dancing party in Firmuge Hall last Friday night in honor of Virgil Stice. Mr. Stice has recently passed the state competitive examination for entrance to the Naval school at Annapolis and is now awaiting word of his appointment to commence his work there. The local students attending the B. Y. U. who took part in the Indian Sun Dance that was presented last week are Miss Irene Johnston who was one of the dancers, Crandall Giddings, Leland Friday, Ann Clay-son Clay-son and Helen Johnston who played in the orchestra. The Variety club met at the home of Mrs. Adair Bromley last Friday The afternoon was spent in playing bridge, high score prizes being won by Mrs. Philip Green and Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Grant. At 5:30 the twelve guests were seated at the dining table where a delicious lunch was served. The centerpiece was a bouquet of green carnations and each guest was presented pre-sented with a flower. The favors and room decorations were in honor of St. Patrick's day. During the lunch Mrs. E. A. Pierson gave an Irish reading and Mrs. Philip Green sang "Ierland Must be Heaven." Special guests were, Mrs. Philip Green, Mrs. Leo Meredith, Mrs. E. A. Pierson and Mrs. David Conn. n |
