Walker, who is employed in Salt Lake, spent Sunday with relatives here. Mrs. Katie Hayes formerly of Pleasant Grove was visiting here Tuesday with old friends. May Bullock left Friday by bus for Los Angeles to visit with her two sisters who reside there. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Cullimore were guests of their son Howard and wife, as Spanish Fork, Sunday. Mrs. Margaret P. Maw of Provo, visited Saturday at the Lona Lee Beauty Salon. Mr. and Mrs. Odeal Kirk announce Elmer Foutz, James H. and Don Walker, students of the U. S. A. C. at Logan, spent the week-end with relatives in Pleasant Grove. Thelma Spencer Freeman left Tuesday for Glendale, Nevada , to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Spencer, and attend the wedding wed-ding reception of her sister, Helen. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Halliday visited on Sunday with Mr. Jacob's parents at Heber. Mrs. Lydia B. Lund and son LeGrand, Le-Grand, of Salt Lake City, were guests of their daughter and sister, Mrs. Cleone Kirk, Tuesday. Miss Gennieve Fugal, who is employed em-ployed in the schools at Nephi, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jens P. Elmo Beers of Los Angeles joined his wife here Tuesday evening to attend the funeral of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Flora Bromley Nielson, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Nielson and baby of Evanston, Wyoming, arrived arriv-ed here the first of the week to attend at-tend the funeral of Mr. Nielson's mother, Mrs. Flora B. Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Conder of Salt Lake were guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Conder's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Gillman. Mr. and Mrs. Lawerence Tolman of j Richfield were guests Friday at the home of Mrs. Tolman 's mother, Mrs. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Lindberg and family of Tooele, were guests Sunday of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Walker. William Cooper and daughters, Billy and Betty, and Mrs. Amy Hen-riod Hen-riod of Magna, were guests at the J. D. Thorne home Sunday. Harold A. Thorne formerly of this city has accepted a position with Hewelett Brothers of Salt Lake City, a position formerly occupied by his father, James D. Thcrne, Clara Kirk. Elvin Downs a student of the U. S. A. C, spent the week-end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Downs. The Lindon ward Sunday School officers and teachers entertained at a dancing party Tuesday evening after M. I. A. meeting. David B. Thorne made, a business trip to Salt Lake City Wednesday in the interest of the Ojrem-Lindon i Mrs. Nettie Thorne of Heber, who has been visiting the past two weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Thome left for Magna Thursday to visit relatives there. The priests and teachers and their partners of the Third ward enjoyed a social at the Third Ward Amusement Amuse-ment hall Tuesday evening. Mrs. Regina Thome spent part of last week visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Sjoberg in Salt Lake. On Sunday her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, Sid Cullimore, motored to Salt Lake and she returned re-turned home with them. Dairy jo. , 'f Mrs. J. O. Mrs. Ella Brown', Mrs. Annie Gillespie, Gill-espie, Miss Hermese Peterson and Miss Emma Larson of Provo, were among the guests at the Second ward banquet Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Warnick motored to Logan Friday to get George and Charles Warnick. George returned to the U. S. A. C. Sunday afternoon, but Charles will remain home to assist in planting the spring i crops. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith, Mi's. Sadie Chandler, Mrs. Annie Mills, Mrs. Mary J. Cooper and daughter LaRene, were in West Jordan Sun-j day to attend the funeral of Mrs. Amelia Mills Turner. Mr. Burnell G. West, who is a chemistry major at the U. S. A. C, with his wife attended the dinner and meeting of the American Chemical Chem-ical Society of Utah at the University Univer-sity of Utah, Friday, March 14, after which they spent the week-end at the home of Mr. West's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. West, in Lindon. Miis Ruby Williams, who has been employed as librarian at the high school for several years left Friday Mr. and Mrs. Richard Newman announce the birth of a baby girl Thursday. Miss Newman before her marriage was Miss Gwen Prestwich of Orem. Mrs. Erma Tomlinson, Mrs. Rhoda Clark and daughters, Orpha and Violet Beers, Mrs. G. F. Barnes and Mrs. Frank Barnes of Lehi, visited i Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Barnes of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Afton Keeler of Magrath, Canada, visited at the home of her uncle, J. H. Adams on Monday. His daughter, Mrs. G. S. Richards of American Fork visited here. for Logan to attend the U. S. A. c. Miss Williams is a real student of art, literature and English and will make good in her school work. Her many friends wish her success. The brothers and sisters of David B. Thorne of Lindon and their partners part-ners entertained Monday evening in honor of his 59th birthday. A picnic dinner was served after which the evening was spent in early reminis-censes reminis-censes and social chat. Those present pres-ent besides the host and his wife were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Fage, Mrs. Vida Conway, Mr. and Mrs. r! R. Thorne of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Jacobson. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thorne and Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Keetrh of Orem. A very enjoyable evening was reported. The Pleasant Grove First ward M. I. A. will present four one-act plays in the Second Ward Amusement Amuse-ment Hall Saturday, March 30. Names of the plays are: "The Teapot Tea-pot on the Rocks", "Andante", "Pink and Patches" and "Stoves". Plays are under the direction of Mrs. Donna Don-na Ash. Mrs. Lucille Walker, Mrs. Pyiha Johnson, and Mrs. Mabel Jeuse. A splendid program has been arranged between acts and some real entertainment is in store for those who attend.
