Show Sarah Chipman Performs Picture Unveiling Act At High School Miss Sarah Chipman, winner of the popularity contest staged last week at the Ameiran Fork high school, officiated at the unveiling ceremonies of the noted picture "Mt. Wilbur," held Wednesday morning in regular student body assembley. She made the presentation speech to the high school in behalf of the doners, the Ladies Literary Association, and performed per-formed the unveiling act. Eli Clayson, president body, received re-ceived the picture for the high school. A large representation of the Ladies Literary Association were present, and occupied seats on the stand. Mrs. Martin Nielsen, president of the association, gave a short talk, explaining their purpose in presenting present-ing the picture to the high school. She hoped that this first contribution would be a stimulus for further art projects. Professor Campbell, instructor of art at the Provo high school, was present by invitation, and -gave a splen'did talk on art appreciation. Principal Jesse M. Walker expressed express-ed his appreciation to the doners of this worthy contribution. The ladies and male glee clubs under the direction of K. II. Bird, sang two selections. Prayer was offered by j E. Ray Gardner. The popularity contest staged last week was especially for the purpose of choosing the most popular and efficient young lady judging from every field of school activity plus personality, to officiate at the unveiling unveil-ing ceremony. Miss Chipman answers all the requirements. She has proved herself of high standing in both scholastic and social activities. STie i was district champion in the recent oratorical contest, has been concert mistress of the high school orchestra for the past two years, was organizer of the Beethoven Club of which she has been president for two terms, and is a live wire in other school functions. func-tions.
