Show Poultry Queen Contest To Start Next Week The selecting of a suitable Queen to reign during Poultry Founder's Day to be staged in its third big annual celebration Wednesday, June 26, in American Fork, is to commence next week Any girl in the north end of Utah County is elegible for nomination. The nominating coupon appearing in this week's issue is good for 5,000 votes and is to be placed immediately in the box in any of the three local Drug Stores, with a candidate for this distinct honor listed on it. A prize of $50 cash will be awarded the winning contestant and a $15 cash prize will go to tie competitor winning second honors. A beautiful float will be furnished by the city for her to ride on during the mammtoLa parade which is to be the morning feature. It is to be distinctly understood, that the Queen furnish her own costume, however, this will be the only expense ex-pense she will be under any obligation to cover, the float, decorations, etc., to be defrayed by the General Committee. Votes will be given away with purchases made in the various stores according to the sum of the purchase. These are to be cast in favor of the contenders for the queen honor. The annuncement of the final winners will be made at the big dance to be held Wednesday, June 19 in the Apollo Hall, one week before the final event. Have the Queen a girl of your choice by filling in this coupon and depositing de-positing immediately in one of the three Drug Stores. |
