Show Initiative Amendment No. 7 DENTAL ADVERTISING LAW PROPOSED TO BE ENACTED BY INITIATIVE Being an act to amend Section 79-6-8, Re-Tised Re-Tised Statutes of Utah, 1933, as amended by Chapter 78, Laws of Utah, 1935. (Making it Iecal for Dentists to Advertise.) Adver-tise.) That Section 79-6-8, Revised Statutes of Utah, 1933. as amended by Chapter 78 Laws of Utah, 1935, be amended to read as follows : 79-6-8. The words "unprofessional conduct" con-duct" as relating to dentists are hereby defined to include. ... 1. Obt.-Vning any fee by fraud or misrepresentation. mis-representation. . 2. Employing; directly or indirectly any student or unlicensed dentists, or one whose license has been revoked or suspended to perform operations of any kind or to treat lesions of the human teeth, gums or jaws, or take impressions of the teeth or jaws, or to correct or attempt to correct malpositions mal-positions thereof, except as herein provided. pro-vided. , 3 Employing what are known as cappers, cap-pers, steerers or touters to obtain business. 4 Communicatinc. without the consent of the patient, information acquired in treating a patient necessary to enable him to act for such a patient. 5 Advertising his dental business or treatment or devices by untruthful, improbable im-probable or impossible statements. 6 Making any misrepresentations or fals. promises directly or indirectly to Influence, In-fluence, persuade or induce dental patron- Sl' Sharing professional torn with u nn-i nn-i licensed person or paying any person for ending or referring patients. 8. Violating or aiding others in violating violat-ing any of the provisions of the dental practice act. 13. Refusing the Department of Registration Regis-tration or the State Board of Health, their officers or employes, access to his office, instruments, laboratory, equipment, appliances ap-pliances or supplies for the purpose of inspecting in-specting the same. 14. Keeping his office, instruments, laboratory lab-oratory equipment, appliances or supplies in an insanitary condition. 15. Nothing herein contained shall be construed so as to prevent a duly licensed dentist in the State of Utah from advertising advertis-ing his profession, except the quotation of definite fixed prices, by the us? of news, papers, periodicals, signs, cards, radio and other lawful means of advertising, provided, provid-ed, that all of such advertising shall be in the name of the licensed dentist who may specifically refer in such advertising to his traiinny method andor system. t SECTION 2.
