D. Thorne, Wednesday. Garland Clark returned Saturday after two weeks contract employment employ-ment at Beaver, Utah. Mrs. Leonard Racker of Lehi, who has been ill is convalescing at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Oscar M. Cragun. Mr. and Mrs. James D. Thorne and Mrs. Thomas Fenton were in Payson Monday for the Annual Onion On-ion Day festivities. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitchell, Mrs. Orson Lee and Reva Mitchell were Payson visitors Monday. Sadie Chandler, Don Smith and Kieth Nelson returned Monday from a two weeks motor trip to the Texas Centenial Fair. Georgia Owens left Tuesday night for a visit with relatives at Panguitch. S. O. Strong of Alpine was taken to the L. D. S. Hospital the last of the week. It is reported that he is suffering with a misplaced vertebrae Everett Laursen was operated on Tuesday, August 25, at the Lehi Hospital Hos-pital for hernia. At last reports he is doing nicely. I i Mrs. Elva Brewer left last Tuesday Tues-day for a two weeks trip to'Chicago. Miss Anna May Ellison of Gar-dena, Gar-dena, Calif., visited Saturday afternoon after-noon with Mrs. Ella M. Cragun. Grace Lim Sorenson and son, Jerry, Jer-ry, of Salt Lake City, are visiting with Mrs. Sorenson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Lim. Albert Olson will come home from the hospital today (Friday). He is convalescing from an operation for hernia. Mr. and Mrs. George T. Jones of the Provo First ward, former residents resi-dents of the Windsor ward, paid the Windsor ward a visit last Sunday evening. Mr. Jones gave a short talk. Arnold Richins, representing Utah county is attending the Adult Educational Edu-cational Institute at Salt Lake City from September 1 to 12. He is especially interested in the cooperative coopera-tive movement of the state. The.Misses Edna Nelson and Florence Flor-ence Harper returned Wednesday from a trip to the Hiawiian Islands. Mareda West Dancliff left the last of the week to make their home in California. 'Mrs. Danclift is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence West. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse ' Harding and daughter. Glenda. Mr. and Mrs. Halvan Farr made a trip to St. George, Utah, the last of the week. Charles E. Thorne left Saturday by railroad for south eastern Montana Mon-tana to purchase some drouth cattle for himself and local people. Mr. and Mrs. John Iverson and children, Miss Jessie Iverson and Dorothy and Elaine Hoganson, attended at-tended the farewell party tendered Emel Martin at the Provo Fourth ward Sunday evening. Mr. Martin left the following day for the mission mis-sion home at Salt Lake City. Miss Edna Fugal entertained at a social last Wednesday evening at the Niels Fugal home in honor of Warren War-ren Kirk, who leaves soon for the Swiss-German mission. The evening was spent in games and social chat. .Dainty refreshments were served to the following guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ruth Hales and Helen Hennck-en Hennck-en entertained at a theatre party.
