Show $100 In Prizes to be Given Free at Cooking School The local electrical dealers will sponsor an educational event here in American Fork on Friday and Saturday, May 21 and 22. This event will consist of three programs. The first one to be given on Friday afternoon, af-ternoon, May 21, at 2 p. m., is a cooking school in which the electric range and other electrical appliances will be featured. The second program, is an evening affair, Friday, May 21, at 7:30, when a musical program and an educational, illustrated lecture on kitchen planning will be given. Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. the third lecture of the cooking school will be featured. This event will demonstrate the electric refrigerator and other electric appliances. Following Fol-lowing the cooking school program Saturday afternoon a grand prize wia be given away. The attendance cards of all three of the events will be put into a box for the drawing. The grand prize is a beautiful electric elec-tric roaster valued at $25.00. Other prizes will be given as follows: Six large baskets of food to the six lucky ladies Friday afternoon. Friday Fri-day evening four baskets of food and an electric toaster will be given to the holders of the lucky tickets. Saturday afternoon six large baskets bas-kets of food and the grand prize of a $25.00 electric toaster will be awarded. Mrs. Jean Nelden, Home Service supervisor of Provo, will have charge of the cooking school. The place: Second ward chapel. The Time: 2 p. m. and 7:30 p. m. Friday and 2 p. m. Saturday. The ladies of Pleasant Grove and Lehi are also invited. to attend this cooking sehool. Sponsors of the event are: Chip-man Chip-man Mercantile Co., Dixon-Taylor-Russell Company and the Utah Power and Light Company. |
