Show Final Tribute Paid Miss Rouie Miller Funeral services were held Sunday in the Fourth ward chapel for Rouie Miller, daughter of William M. and Susie Wilde Miller. A large crowd, which filled the chapel to capacity and a profusion of floral offerings, attested the love and esteem in which the people of this community held Miss Miller and her family. Bishop John W. Pulley conducted the services. Ora H. Chipman and Moral Steele sang the opening song, "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and President Presi-dent Earl S. Greenwood offered the invocation. Maxine Taylor and Mildred Anderson played a violin and cello duet "Going Home." Speakers for the occasion were Leo T. Shelley, Lot Robinson and President Clifford E. Young. The speakers stressed the fact that Miss Miller possessed a lovely disposition, had been a wonderful daughter and an excellent worker in the church, being very active in the Genealogical Genealogi-cal association of the Fourth ward. Further musical numbers were furnished by Cecil Ray Hanson, who played a cornet solo "A Perfect Day" and Ray Shelley, who sang "Face to Face", accompanied by Mrs. Owen Humphries. Daniel Jorgenson, counselor in the Fourth ward bishopric, pronounced pro-nounced the benediction. The grave in the City cemetery was dedicated by C. B. Halliday of Midvale. At the cemetery the American Legion Auxiliary, of which Miss Miller was a member, carried out, under the direction of Chaplain Sarah Monson, the auxiliary ritual, all the members of the Auxiliary present dropping a flower upon the casket. The Auxiliary members also took care of the flowers. |
