Presents Play Monday "Big Hearted Herbert," a charming charm-ing hilarious story in the form of a three-act play, will be presented next Monday, April 1st, at the Cameo Theatre by the Alpine Stake M. I. A. Drama department. The play abounds in merriment, yet is very human. The plot centers about Herbert Kalness, a self-made business man who insists his family must be brought up in the plain traditions. When his daughter becomes engaged engag-ed to a Harvard man, and his wife has not only ice cream, but Harvard men, to dmner, Herbert nearly goes out of his mind with rage. He storms and fumes and threatens but his weapons are futile before the delightful feminine wiles of his loving and long suffering wife. The climax is as uproariously funny as it is unexpected. The authors of this clever comedy are Sophie Kerr and Ann Steese Richardson, both well known American Ameri-can writers. The plot contains a number of very modern situations and there are many who will see a reflection of typical home scenes. The time of the play is Now and the place is a small Mid-East city.
