Show High School Notes The following students have been ohosen to represent the high school in debating; the first team consists of Edith Marsh, Phil Jensen, Winifred Wini-fred Babcock, and Irene Giddings; the second team consists of LaVem Butte, Ferl Dean, Eva Howard, and Boyd Phillips. Judges of the try-outs try-outs were Miss Virginia Taylor, Miss Mary Ashby, and Mr. Earl Holm-stead. Holm-stead. Junior Prom arrangements are developing rapidly. The high school gymnasium will be transformed into in-to a setting of "Alice in Wonderland" Wonder-land" with Will Wright's "Navigators" "Naviga-tors" furnishing the music. March 30th is the date that has been set for the Prom. Miss Mary Basinger, the physical physi-cal education teacher, has begun the series of tryouts for the posture parade. par-ade. The girls that are interested in participating in the posture parade par-ade have been meeting with Miss Basinger. The American Fork Future Farmers Farm-ers held their annual initiation last Friday night. All members who had held the office of greenhands for one year were initiated into the Future Farmer organization. After the ceremony the croup went to the back of the high school where a wienie roast was held. The following boys received their Future Farmer pins: R. Gardner, Legrand Adamson, Myron Burgess, Howard Robinson, Willard Devitt, and Bill Makin. The Junior high girls enjoyed a jamboree Thursday night, March 8, in the high school gymnasium. The ninth grade girls were the sponsor-ers, sponsor-ers, and Virginia Holmstead, Madeline Made-line Robinson, and Zola Grant were the committee in charge. The girls came in families which brought then-own then-own lunches. All of the girls were costumed. Games were played throughout the evening. o |
