Show Beet Growers Will Accept Sugar Company Contracts and sugar company, the same as last year, with the exception of added clauses. A clause has been added in the contract to protect the grower from the procession tax and another clause to protect the susar company in case of over-production. o A large group of farmers of this city were in attendance at a meeting meet-ing held Tuesday evening in the City and County tiuilding at Provo. Members of the Utah County Bec-t :Growers association will be permitted per-mitted by the association to accept the proposed 1934 contract of the Utah-Idaho Sugar company as a result of the action of approximately approximate-ly 300 growers of Utah county, who were in attendance at the meeting. The motion will become effective; states J. W. Alleman, secretary, after af-ter the proper legal steps have been taken to release the growers from their association contracts. R. D. Morgan, president of the organization organiza-tion was chairman of the meeting. The motion was passed after a discussion of the sugar legislation now before congress and as to whether it would be advisable to force a break with the sugar companies com-panies in view of the present situation situ-ation in Washington. It did not pass unanimously, approximately 25 growers being apposed to it. A vote of thanks was given to the committee, commit-tee, which has been conferring with sugar companies for their efforts.
