Show Sheep Shearing To Commence Sheep producers are busy in this district preparing for the harvest of their 1934 annual wool crop. Shearing Shear-ing at some corrals is scheduled to commenoe the first week in April and at others about the 15th. The majority of the American Fork sheep will be handled at the Fairfield corral cor-ral as usual with some going to various var-ious other corrals closer to their winter ranges. Reports indicate that the wool crop will be heavier than average this year and growers are optomistic for the future. Market quotations indicate that the producers will get near thirty cents for wool this year as compared with a shearing price of sixteen for 1933. The sheep are said to be in much better condition than they have been for the past two years due to the open winter. |
