Chipman, stake and ward M. I. A. officers arid ward bishoprics and their partners, of this stake; Mr. and Mrs. Oscar A. Kirkham of Salt Lake City The hall presented a lovely appearance, ap-pearance, havingl been newly decorated decor-ated in a color scheme of pale green and gold, the M. I. A. colors, which also accentuated the Easter decorative decor-ative scheme.. Flowers adorned the tables also and each place was marked by a gilded egg shell m a nest of green straw, with tinycan-dd tinycan-dd easier eggs Inside. The banquet was served and prepared by Mr. and Mrs. Jack Robinson and the waitresses were Junior girls of the various wards. Gilbert Shumway was master of ceremonies who welcomed all the guests and introduced Stanley Peters as toastmaster of the eve-nine. eve-nine. The invocation was offered Alpine. The Alpine ' M. Men's basketball team, champions of the Alpine and Provo divisions in the recent M. Men's tournament, was presented with an appropriate banner. The presentation speech was made by Leo Nelson, stake M. Men leader, and the speech of acceptance in behalf of the team by Captain Wendell Wen-dell Moyle. The program also included in-cluded a vocal duet by Miss Doris Forbes and Mrs. Thurza Strong of by President C. E. Young, community commun-ity singing: was led by LaZell Chip-man, Chip-man, several clever toasts were given. giv-en. Eldred Nicholes in behalf of the M. Men toasted "The Gleaner Girls", and Miss . Dorothy Grant gave the toast, "The M. Men", representing rep-resenting the Gleaner Girls. Miss Beth Hutchings responded to the M. Men's toast and other responses came from President Chipman, |
