Show yj SENIOR 4-H CLUB ORGANIZED ORGAN-IZED IN MANILLA A very interesting meeting was held Wednesday evening April 5th, at which Senior 4-H Club work was organized in the Manilla ward. Mr. Wilford Porter of the Extension Service of the U. S. A. C. at Logan was the principal speaker. He talked on cultivating our social graces. Professor Dunn, of the U. S. A. C, head of the Forestry Department, De-partment, spoke on Forestry club work. Mr. Anson Call, County Agent, talked on Senior 4-H Club work. Miss Helen Warnick played a violm solo; Elaine and Afton Pack sang a duet and Miss Miriam Wamick plaj'ed a piano selection. Club organization was held following) fol-lowing) the general meeting. Prof. Dunn met with one group and explained ex-plained the requirements and ex-' hibits of 4-H Forestry club work'. jMiss Mildred Swenson will be lead-I lead-I er of this club. It is the first girls j forestry club to be conducted in the county. Their officers will be elected at the next meeting. The Senior 4-H club boys met with Mr. Merrill Warnick, Mr. Wilford Wil-ford Porter and Mr. Call and the Senior program was explained to them. The following officers were elected: President, Wamick Swen-son; Swen-son; vice-president, Charles War- nick; secretary-treasurer, Keith Warnick. Merrill Wamick will, be leader. A committee was appointed to work out requirements for the club. The girls Senior 4-H club met with leader Lurena Wamick and select'd the following officers: President, Emma Ludwigson; vice-president, vice-president, Kathryn Harper; .secretary-treasurer, Elva Eves; wmij leader, Miriam Warnick; Reporter, Loraine Swenson. The committee on group requirements require-ments with Emma Ludwiy,on as chairman presented the season's outline w'hich was accepted by the club. The next meeting for the girls will be heid at the home of Mrs. Wamick where a demonstration in home-made household cleansers will be conducted. The Senior 4 H club will conduct a Joint session once a month at which subjects of vital importance to the community will be demon-rtrated. demon-rtrated. Spoake of prominence will be chosen.
