Show Softball Outfits Fight For Honor As Halves End With a possibility of any one of four teams each in the Recreational and Commercial leagues coming out with first half honors, softball went into a heated scramble here this week. The first half schedule will end June 24. Star Flour, Alpine, Nye & Nissen and Nielsen Auto of the Recreational league, and Utah Poultry, Poul-try, Shumway Service, A & W, and C & R were still in the running, before be-fore last night's games, for the first nail championship. Meanwhile, Afton Steiner dropped from first position to the cellar in the big six batting average of his league, giving way to Phil Jensen, while Frank Parker came out in front in the Commercial group.
