Show . 4 C. C. CNews Word was received, that this camp would be moved to the Soapstone area for the summer project. This will make the fourth summer that the camp has been assigned to the Granddaddy lakes district. The entire en-tire personnel are happy over the prospects of going to a mountainous area for the warm summer months. All enrolled personnel were issued the summer clothing last Friday. The company presents a nice spectacle spec-tacle when at retreat formation in their new uniforms. Bill's Furniture softball team from Provo played the boys two games over the week-end. The first game at Provo was won by the Furniture boys, score 6-4. Sunday the game was played on the CCC grounds and the Provo boys edged out the C's 14-13. The game was called in the fifth inning on account of rain. Games are scheduled for the coming week with Pleasant Grove high school, Sunshine Cafe of Provo, and iLeven's of Provo. i I Don Allred will take twelve men into "Skull" Valley Wednesday to establish a "Spike" Camp for the next two or three wTeeks. While there, they will construct a water tank system for watering cattle and sheep during the dry season. Superintendent Hyde and Captain Miller will take a reconnaissance trip into the Soapstone area, Thursday Thurs-day of this week. They will investigate investi-gate snow conditions, work projects, buildings, etc. An appropriate program for Mother's Moth-er's day is being arranged for members mem-bers of the camp. All men are asked ask-ed to write a letter home to their mothers for this occasion. |
