Show u James Moffett to Receive Doctor's At Michigan "IT James W. Moffett, formerly of American Fork, will receive his doctor's doc-tor's degree at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, at Commencement Com-mencement exercises June 17, according ac-cording to word received by his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Moffett. Mof-fett. Mr. Moffett will receive his Ph. D. degree in zoology, having pursued pur-sued studies in that line at Brigham Young university, the University of Utah, and the University of Michigan. Michi-gan. Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Moffett will leave Sunday by automobile, to attend the Commencement exercises. They will be accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Jesse M. Walker and Guy Richards. Mrs. Lillie Wilde left Thursday on the "Challenger" to attend the exercises, and to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Moffett being the former Myrtle Wilde. Mrs. Wilde will make a three weeks' stay in Ann Arbor. James W. Moffett received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Utah in 1934, his master mas-ter of arts degree from the University Uni-versity of Utah in 1936, and this year completed studies and work for his doctor's degree in zoology, at the University of Michigan. He filled a mission to Germany, from 1928 to 1931, and also attended Brigham Young university. For several years Mr. Moffett has been an instructor at the University of Michigan on a fellowship received upon graduation from the University of Utah. Upon receiving his degree, he will be employed with the United States Bureau of Fisheries at Ann Arbor. |
